The
ridge along the top of this mountain is a
portion of the continental divide, the line
that seperates the North American continent
into two completely seperate watersheds. All
the water to the left side of the ridge eventually
flows into the Atlantic Ocean, while all the
water on the right side flows into the Pacific
Ocean. Also of note is that the snow visible
to the left is part of Grinnell Glacier. This
is without a doubt one of my favorite photographs
from my recent trip to Glacier National Park. |
